Please be advised that Advance ER locations do not have the capability of doing outpatient testing. We apologize but as a state licensed free-standing emergency center we can only provide COVID-19 testing services through our emergency room (emergency room charges apply). Advance ER locations do offer free medical screening’s, and we are happy to treat your medical care needs. While we are sorry the inconvenience this may cause, we appreciate the community support during this pandemic.

Q&A: 5 Things You’ve Wondered About Visiting the ER

Q. Should I drive to the ER or call an ambulance?

A. Advance ER offers ambulance service, so feel free to call us at (214) 974-4758 for an ambulance. If believe you are having any immediate life-threatening conditions, call for an ambulance. Otherwise, you may come to Advance ER in your private vehicle. Once you get to one of our two convenient locations, we’ll take care of the rest.

Q. What should I bring with me to the ER?

A. Please bring a list of medications, your driver’s license or I.D. and insurance card. Phone numbers for immediate family and the name of your primary care physician might be helpful to allow us to communicate your follow-up care with your own doctor. You may want to bring a friend or loved one to support you and to help you answer questions. If possible, please leave your valuables at home. We will have a Refreshment Menu available for you to select your preferred refreshment to make your ER visit with us more comfortable.

Q. Will I have to go somewhere else for imaging tests or medications?

A. No. At Advance ER, we are pleased to offer advanced imaging technology on-site such as CAT scan, ultrasound and X-rays. Our on-site lab is also able to provide fast turnaround on many important diagnostic testing—usually within minutes. For your convenience, a pharmacy for our patients is located in-house. We take patient care to a new level with services such as pharmacy home delivery when needed.

Q. Who will see me at Advance ER?

A. A board-certified physician with an average of 15 years of emergency room experience will be your doctor at the ER. Because we value you and want to offer you top medical care, you will not be seen by a physician’s assistant or nurse practitioner.

Q Where can I go to see a specialist such as a pediatric emergency specialist or cardiologist?

A. At Advance ER. You can have access to multi-specialist care on-site through our groundbreaking SPECIALIST NOW service. Within minutes, you can have a face-to-face consultation with the right specialist at the right time and get the right care and will incur no additional charges from the specialist.
