At Advance ER, patient comfort is our number one priority. With this in mind, our Drive-Up assistance program allows you to drive up, stay in your vehicle and let us come to you for COVID-19 testing. During this unprecedented time, Advance ER is doing everything possible to protect the patients and communities we serve. We understand your concerns and we ultimately have one goal: to be prepared and ready for whatever is ahead.

For non-COVID patients please come in. We especially encourage patients experiencing COVID-19 or viral symptoms to utilize Drive-Up assistance service.

What are the symptoms of COVID-19?

According to the CDC, the following symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Chest pain
  • Shortness of breath

How is COVID-19 different than the flu?

The coronavirus shares similar symptoms to the common flu, however, recent reports suggest that COVID-19 is more contagious and has a higher fatality rate. Unlike the flu, there is less information and resources available to prevent it.

Where can I get tested?

COVID-19 testing is available at both our Park Cities and Galleria locations.

With our advanced testing technology, we can administer tests directly from our clinic with a simple swab from a patient’s nose or throat to deliver results in 24-48 hours.

Am I allowed to take a test if I don’t have symptoms?

Testing is recommended only for patients with severe conditions, or those who’ve been in contact with someone who has the virus. If you’re still unsure if you should take a test, don’t hesitate to call our office. We’ll assist you over the phone with care instructions or schedule an appointment if necessary.

How will I be treated if I have COVID-19?

Currently, there is no cure or medication approved for COVID-19. However, there are possible treatments for other respiratory infections that can greatly reduce complications and symptoms. Our doctors at Advance ER will work with you to determine the best treatment plan for your case.

Will I catch COVID-19 if I come into the office?

Advance ER is staying up to date on the latest information regarding COVID-19. We have planned and adapted our facility to operate safely under CDC guidelines, and we have made additional precautions to protect both our patients and staff members. We will continue to work with Dallas County Health & Human Services (DCHHS) recommendations and coordinate testing and treatment with proper protocol.

How does payment and insurance work for COVID-19 tests?
