A Season of Gratitude and Giving
November marks a time for reflection, gratitude, and giving back. At Advance ER, community service goes hand in hand with patient care. This month, we’re proud to shine the spotlight on Rhonda McGuire, RN, our Director of Nursing, whose leadership embodies the compassion and excellence that define who we are.
Alongside celebrating her achievements, we’re joining the Rotary Club of Park Cities in supporting the Soles4Souls Shoe Drive, a project aimed at providing footwear to families in need. These two stories remind us how healthcare professionals can extend care far beyond the walls of the emergency room.
Celebrating Rhonda McGuire’s Nursing Leadership

When you meet Rhonda McGuire, you immediately sense her calm confidence and deep compassion. With more than 20 years in emergency medicine, she leads by example, supporting patients and team members through moments that matter most.
Her dedication has not gone unnoticed. Rhonda was honored in D Magazine’s Excellence in Nursing Awards and recognized by Yahoo Finance for her commitment to patient care and community outreach.
Throughout her career, she has:
- Helped open four pediatric urgent care clinics in just four years while managing her own facility
- Served as Charge Nurse and Peer Review Leader at Charlton Methodist Medical Center
- Received the DAISY Award for clinical excellence and compassion
- Partnered with Restored Hope Ministries to support victims of human trafficking
- Earned recognition in D Magazine for her leadership and community impact
- Joined Advance ER in 2025 as Director of Nursing, continuing a two-decade legacy of emergency care and mentorship
Rhonda’s leadership continues to shape our culture of compassion, teamwork, and excellence. She reminds us daily that true leadership comes from the heart.
Community Partnership: Soles4Souls Shoe Drive
Giving back has always been part of our mission, and this November, we’re stepping up to make a difference. Advance ER is collecting gently used shoes to support the Soles4Souls initiative and help make a positive impact on the community.
Starting November 6, donation containers will be placed in both our Park Cities and Inwood/Galleria locations. We welcome any gently used men’s, women’s, or kids’ shoes such as sneakers, sandals, boots, or flats.
Each week, Teresa will deliver our collected shoes every Friday morning to the Rotary Club of Park Cities, whose leadership and generosity continue to inspire local outreach efforts. Let’s aim to fill our collection containers each week and keep the spirit of giving strong.
This partnership reflects our shared values of compassion, comfort, and community care. It also highlights how healthcare professionals and civic organizations can work together to make a meaningful difference.
How You Can Join the Effort
We invite our community to take part in the Soles4Souls Shoe Drive by dropping off donations at either of our locations. Every pair of shoes supports Soles4Souls’ global mission to provide footwear and resources to families in need.
Together, we walk the path of compassion, one pair at a time.
For questions about the drive or our community programs, call us at (214) 494-8222 or visit one of our locations to speak with our staff. You can also fill out our web form to learn more about upcoming community initiatives and health events.
