At Advance ER, caring for patients also means supporting the community we serve. This month, we are proud to highlight Dr. Michael Chiang, whose dedication to both emergency medicine and community outreach reflects the mission and values of Advance ER across Dallas.
Supporting Children Through Community Partners of Dallas
Dr. Chiang is serving as the Community Partners of Dallas donor physician, helping support Advance ER’s monthly backpack initiative for children who have experienced abuse or neglect.
Community Partners of Dallas works closely with the Dallas County child welfare system, providing essential resources to children facing incredibly difficult circumstances. Through this initiative, backpacks are filled with comfort items that help bring a sense of security during challenging times, including:
- Blankets
- Pillows
- Stuffed animals
- Personal care items
These small but meaningful items can make a powerful difference for children navigating uncertain situations. Dr. Chiang’s support of this initiative reflects a deep commitment to caring not only for patients but also for vulnerable members of the community.

Dr. Chiang also shares his medical knowledge through community engagement. On March 1, he spoke at the Global Federation of Chinese Business Women of North Texas, connecting with local leaders and community members to discuss important health topics.
Events like these help strengthen the relationship between healthcare providers and the communities they serve. By participating in educational outreach, Dr. Chiang helps raise awareness about health issues and encourages individuals to take proactive steps toward protecting their well-being.
Giving Back Through the Ronald McDonald House Initiative
Community service remains an ongoing priority at Advance ER. Our team proudly partners with the Rotary Club of Park Cities to volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House, located near UT Southwestern Medical Center and Children’s Medical Center Dallas.
On the third Monday of every month, Advance ER staff members prepare meals for families whose children are receiving care at nearby hospitals. These families often face long days and emotional challenges while supporting their children during treatment.
Providing a warm meal offers a moment of comfort and relief during an incredibly difficult time. Advance ER is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to an organization that brings warmth, support, and hope to families and children.
Dr. Chiang’s Role in Emergency Care at Advance ER
